The CEO Expo is an annual career exploration event coordinated by IMPACT Learning Center in partnership with local businesses, industries, workforce development organizations, and school systems to serve 9th grade students across Jackson County. First launched in 2011 at the Kevin Dukes Career and Innovation Academy, the inaugural Expo welcomed more than 600 students from every school in the county and featured hands-on, interactive exhibits led by instructors, private companies, and regional industry partners. Following the success of that first event, the CEO Expo has continued as a vital opportunity to introduce students to the wide range of career pathways available in Northeast Alabama. By connecting education and industry, the Expo helps students and educators better understand career options while supporting local employers in developing the skilled workforce needed to sustain and grow our regional economy. As part of a broader, organized approach to career awareness and preparation, the CEO Expo plays a critical role in shaping the workforce of tomorrow by educating students today.
