WORKFORCE IMPACT

Workforce IMPACT is designed to help Jackson County citizens gain the skills, confidence, and credentials they need to move forward in today’s workforce.
Through our IMPACT Works: Grow Jackson County initiative, IMPACT Learning Center connects participants with career-focused learning opportunities, digital skills training, and workforce development resources that support both personal growth and local industry needs.
Whether someone is preparing for a new career, strengthening their computer skills, returning to the workforce, or simply learning how to navigate technology with more confidence, Workforce IMPACT is here to help.
IMPACT Works: Grow Jackson County is IMPACT Learning Center’s workforce development initiative focused on helping Jackson County citizens build practical skills, earn meaningful credentials, and prepare for future career opportunities.
This initiative brings together education, digital access, workforce readiness, and community partnerships to support learners at different stages of life and career.
Through IMPACT Works, participants may have the opportunity to take part in:
Grow with Google Career Certificate scholarship opportunities
Free digital skills and technology classes
Career readiness support
Resume and workforce preparation
Basic computer skills training
Pathways to continued education and employment opportunities
IMPACT Works exists to help connect local citizens with the tools, training, and support they need to succeed in a changing workforce.

IMPACT Learning Center is proud to partner with Grow with Google to provide scholarship opportunities for Google Career Certificates through our IMPACT Works: Grow Jackson County initiative.
Once each quarter, IMPACT has the opportunity to award scholarships to selected candidates who are ready to build new skills, explore career pathways, and work toward industry-recognized credentials.
Google Career Certificates are flexible, online training programs designed to help learners gain job-ready skills in high-demand fields. Participants can complete coursework at their own pace while receiving encouragement and support from IMPACT throughout the cohort.

Cybersecurity

Who This Is For:
Grow with Google Career Certificate scholarships may be a good fit for adults who are interested in career advancement, exploring a new field, strengthening their resume, or gaining skills that can support future employment and education opportunities.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply during open scholarship application periods. Scholarship opportunities are awarded quarterly through IMPACT Works: Grow Jackson County.
HELPING JACKSON COUNTY CITIZENS BUILD CONFIDENCE WITH TECHNOLOGY
IMPACT Learning Center is proud to partner with Tech Goes Home to offer free technology classes for Jackson County citizens.
These classes are designed to help participants build confidence using computers, the internet, email, online tools, and other digital resources that are important for work, school, communication, and everyday life.
Through this partnership, IMPACT offers beginner-friendly classes in a welcoming, supportive environment. Participants do not need to be tech experts to get started — these classes are designed to meet learners where they are and help them grow step by step.
TECH GOES HOME AT IMPACT SEMESTER PROGRAM
Through our Tech Goes Home semester program, participants attend a full series of free technology classes designed to build practical digital skills over time.
Classes may cover topics such as:
Basic computer skills
Email and online communication
Internet safety
Online forms and applications
Using technology for work and education
Accessing community resources online
Digital tools for everyday life
Participants who successfully complete the full semester program may receive a certificate of completion and may also qualify to receive a free laptop, helping remove barriers to continued learning, employment, and digital access.

This program is ideal for beginners, adults returning to technology, job seekers, parents, seniors, and anyone who wants to feel more confident using digital tools.
