Video teleconferencing (VTC) is the two- way transmission of both audio and video between the interaction of two or more sites for college classes, virtual field trips, school meetings, healthcare workshops, industry and business meetings from different areas of the world. This technology brings the world to our door.
Since September 11, our lives have changed in the business world as well. Travel has become less frequent—but the meetings and training sessions are still important. During these times, we would like to remind you that you or your employees do not have to miss those important meetings or have lost time traveling. The IMPACT Learning Center is here to help. We have VTC capabilities in eight sites that would be available to you and your employees at your request for a fraction of the cost of travel. Please let us know if we can help you with these possibilities.
Without ever leaving town, our community has participated in:
•
Diabetes Workshops
•
Town Hall meetings from Montgomery
•
2nd graders met with a butterfly expert in Michigan
•
A local industry traveled overseas for a meeting
•
Teachers attended meetings with State Department Heads
•
Study Skills training from Tuscaloosa
•
GED classes
•
Classes from major universities for students who do not have to travel
•
Business meetings
Our eight Video Teleconferencing Network sites are scheduled and coordinated from IMPACT.
